At Cenststein (presumably the Stadtsteinach cent court), crimes were once punished or disputes settled.
It probably also has something to do with the cent court in Stadtsteinach, which included Seibelsdorf, Wötzelsdorf, Kirchleus, Rugendort and Gössersdorf, which also had to pay the "Gerichtshafer" there (Kirchleus about two hundredweight). At this Franconian court, which often coincided with the parishes of the original parishes, crimes were punished and disputes settled.
We have to take the little road with little traffic (on which we cross the Fränkische Linie hiking trail) from Fischbach to Seibelsdorf for just under a kilometer in order to reach the historic stone, the Centstein, on the open hill. The last 200 meters or so are marked by the Jura Trail sign (KC 63).
After this short detour, we head back again and then turn left. We only walk a short distance and then turn left onto a natural field path, which we follow through a charming landscape of hedgerows, climbing slightly to the top of the hill, always looking forward to the changing views of the hedgerows and the picturesque surrounding countryside. Zollbrunn, Gehülz and in between Ziegelerden with its church, owned by the church building association and visible from afar, greet us from the direction of Kronach. It is pastored by the priests of the Oblate monastery in Kronach. Only burials are sent to Kronach.
We turn left and continue straight ahead towards the Gössersdorf wind turbines. Right at the beginning, we see the relic of the last war above the field. On this high plateau of the Jura plateau in the Obermainische Bruchschollenland, there was once an "Flugwacht", an observation point for the air traffic of the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War. Today it is covered by a small pine forest.
With pleasant views, we come across a farm track. First we enjoy the view to the right of the hamlets of Horlachen and Steibra on the heights, then we turn right and walk slightly downhill on pleasant paths, cross the Fränkische Linie hiking trail and arrive in Wötzelsdorf.
On the village road, we walk along the young Fischbach stream out of the village, then on a path always along the stream, past two small, old bridges through a narrow alluvial forest to the district of Tauschendorf. There, we turn left and continue past the sports center on a path to the castle and church of Fischbach, which is idyllically situated in the valley landscape of the Fischbach.
The castle and the Protestant parish church of St. Jakobus, which dates back to around 1500, dominate the townscape. The time-honored interior of the church is well worth seeing.</p
