Königssträßle-Rundweg

Starting from the Wieskirche, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, walkers roam the wide meadows and forests to the south of the famous pilgrimage church. For long stretches, the route follows the King Ludwig Trail. You also follow this from the starting point to the hamlet of Resle, where the actual circular route begins. The trail now leads across lush green meadows and gently undulates to the idyllic Lake Fronreiten. From Fronreiten, hikers can enjoy a magnificent panorama of the Allgäu and Ammergau Alps before the trail disappears into the forest again. From Resle, you finally return to the Wieskirche on the familiar path through peaceful forests.
