Moorlehrpfad

The moorland nature trail is an interesting hike with wonderful views of the Premer Filz from the Moorbad parking lot, following the "Huidingerle" sign past the Moorbad (signpost). Continuing along the path, you cross a small bridge and reach a barn at a field cross (sign) with a view of the Ammergebirge and the Trauchberg in front of it. The path continues into the quarry forest (signposts). At the "Huidingerle", the path initially branches off, following the right-hand path you reach the edge of former peat pits (sign), which is densely overgrown with heather, bog bilberry and blueberry bushes. A little further on, you can read the history of the moor wall on a plaque. Returning to the Königsfilzhütte, you will learn something about the "Wäsenstechen". The path continues straight through the moor and, according to legend, you should not look around under any circumstances, otherwise the moss giant "Huidingerle" will pull the overly curious into the swamp. Before the Krumbach bridge, turn right following the signs. Via a cul-de-sac, you reach a Nagelfluh rock (plaque) with a viewpoint, one of the most tranquil spots in the moor. Back on the main path, educational boards provide information about the flora of the moor and its surroundings. On the litter meadows at the edge of the felt, the flowers include meadow primroses, gentian (May) and arnica (August). At a bench with a table, the view extends across the moor to the Auerberg (1055m). The dirt road to Prem ends shortly before the "Im Filz" playground. Keeping to the right, you pass through the "Im Filz" district with very old farms from the 17th and 18th centuries. On Röthenbachstraße you leave the old village center and after a few hundred meters you reach the starting point again.
