Panoramaweg nach Andechs

In Pähl, the church of St. Laurentius is particularly worth seeing. Passing the beautifully landscaped grounds of the Hohenpähl golf course, we come to Kerschlach, where the well-tended monastery garden of the Kerschlach estate with its farm store, bakery and café invites you to linger. The story of the small Hartkapelle chapel, which we pass, is like a thriller. The panoramic route then leads high above the Ammersee to Andechs Monastery. Through the Kiental valley, a unique geotope, the route leads to Herrsching and along the eastern shore of Lake Ammersee via Aidenried to Fischen. From Vorderfischen, the route takes you back to Pähl via Haula, where the views are once again spectacular.

Author's tip: The crusty roast in the Andechs beer garden is a poem. Accompanied by a pint of Helles - heaven on earth. The copper museum in Vorderfischen is both an interesting and educational excursion destination.

Way description: Start at the church in Pähl and follow the signs for "Heilige Landschaft Pfaffenwinkel" in a northerly direction. The path first leads past the Hochschloß pond. Then keep left at the junction and right at the next junction. In the forest, you reach the Hartkapelle chapel on the beautiful ridgeway.

At a viewpoint with a view of Lake Ammersee, you reach the main road and continue to the right. At the next junction, keep right again and reach Erling. From Erling, you continue on to the Holy Mountain in Andechs, where you can visit the monastery church. You can also stop for a snack in the monastery courtyard.

On the way back, you can take the path through the Kiental valley. From Andechs to Herrsching am Ammersee (approx. 1 hour, signposted) and from there along the lake via Aidenried and Fischen back to Pähl (approx. 12 km, approx. 2.5 hours).
