St. Andrä Runde – Etting

Way description: The starting point is the St. Andreas-Kircherl, a well-known calendar and postcard motif. On the north side of the church enclosure, a meadow path runs east towards Eberfing. After a short distance, you turn north and head towards the Ettinger Aussiedlerhöfe farms. To do this, the hiker crosses the district road leading to Eberfing and continues along the paved path to the north through "die Au" (an old field name). Turn right at two large oak trees and continue through fields and meadows in Etting. When you reach the "lower Eberfinger Weg", turn left to the west until you reach the Etting-Deutenhausen and B2-Eberfing crossroads. Here we head back towards the village and walk up to the "Zum Schafberg" junction. At the highest point with 3 lime trees and a large stone cross, there is time and leisure to sit down on the bench there. The panoramic view is "almost grandiose" with everything the Pfaffenwinkel has to offer! Actively farmed and well-tended fields/meadows, forest, large individual trees, the picturesque St. Andrä and the Alpine chain with Benediktenwand, Heimgarten across to the Zugspitze. Continue past 2 farmsteads and turn west again towards the village. After a short stretch at the next crossroads, we turn left again and have our starting point - St. Andrä - in sight again.
