Route description: The shortest tour in the route network with a rewarding destination: the Radspitze. A large part of the route runs along a mountain hiking trail, which has a trail character throughout. Local signposting: MTB 5

Condition of the route: 75% forest path, 5% trail, 20% asphalt

Requirements: Medium fitness level, medium riding technique

Course of the route: From the "Flößerhaus" in Wallenfels, we follow the signposted cycle path along the so-called "Promenadenweg". Shortly after the "Sommerkeller" inn, we leave the valley of the "Wilde Rodach" and tackle the first ascent on gravel. We reach "Höhe 626" via forest paths and cycle to Dörnach, where a beautiful panorama awaits us. Directly after the small village, the first descent begins on a forest road and ends in the "Zeyerntal". From there, head downhill on asphalt towards Zeyern until you reach the hikers' parking lot. After turning into the parking lot, we have to take a strenuous climb on a gravel path until we reach the "Hüttenweg". There the route continues on a long trail. We follow this "Höhenweg" (marked as a hiking trail) to the "Radspitze", which offers us a magnificent view of the foothills of the Franconian Forest. This impressive view accompanies us for the next few kilometers to Oberehesberg. There we change direction and return to the forests. We reach a local road on gravel forest paths of varying grades, cross it (be careful: the junction is close to a bend) and continue on gravel to Haid. A very short asphalt passage leads into a roughly gravelled forest path, which takes us into the idyllic "Lambachtal" valley. As soon as we reach the next local road, we keep left, take the "flatter" ascent twice and reach a singletrail descent after just a few minutes. CAUTION: At the end of this, there is a very sharp bend on a steep slope that ends at a bridge in the "Wild Rodach" - don't fall into the water! We ride over two small bridges and follow the gravel cycle path down the valley along the "Wild Rodach" to Wallenfels.
