Castle - Reuland Route 1.

This walk in the NaturWanderPark delux really leads right through Europe.

The water sparkles. It splashes over the polished pebbles in countless small waterfalls. It is a beautiful bed that the Our has made for itself. For hundreds of thousands of years, the Our has dug into the slate and limestone layers of the island—sometimes narrow and steep, sometimes a bit wider with floodplain groves and lush meadows. Then the sun shines into the valley bottom, draws on the dew drops, and brings comforting warmth. Its rays penetrate the clear stream, and one can see trout darting upstream nimbly.

The Nat'Our Route 1 starts at the European Monument in the tri-border area of Luxembourg, Germany, and Belgium. The simple and symbolic monument commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Rome in March 1957 and the founding fathers of the European Community.

As it continues, the Our forms the border between Luxembourg and Germany. During the circular hike, you initially follow the Our in a southern direction on the German side, cross it at Tintesmühle, and then follow it back in a northern direction on the Luxembourg side until the starting point. Except for the ascent and descent to Königslay, the route remains in the valley.
