On varied paths between Aachen and Vaals

Our nearly ten-kilometer circular route leads from the German-Dutch border along attractive paths through Aachen and the Dutch town of Vaals. You hike along Gut Hanbruch, can take a break at Gut Hasselholz, pass by the old land ditch, before finding another opportunity to pause at the “Milchfee.”

Over the Geusenweg, once used by smugglers, you come to the tower Beeck. Where once there was an electric "death fence," you now enjoy a walk through expansive meadows with the anticipation of relaxing in one of the numerous establishments in Vaals.

Starting point for public transport travelers: Stop Püngelerstraße/Vaalser Straße in Aachen-Vaalserquartier, bus connections from Aachen bus station: lines 25, 35, and 33.

Starting point for car travelers: Parking lot at the border (fee required), which is located opposite Püngelerstraße (Mother's Center "Mamma Mia") or in the surrounding residential area.
