A beautiful route where you step into nature right from the starting point. The stunning Wormdal lies at your feet and we leave it by crossing the border river. Then a small climb to the plateau with, of course, beautiful views. Nearby is the spoil tip of the former Grube Adolf, where we continue walking at the foot until we reach the village of Plitschard and then walk through the fields back to the higher area. Now we arrive at the sand extraction site where the old part now serves as a solar park. Many panels against the wall and what a contrast against the sparkling white silica sand! Having seen enough, we walk back along the edge of the forest on the Grenzweg to the endpoint where we started.
