We started the hike at the hiker's parking lot of the rock hamlet, a kind of pond in the middle of the rocks, with the intention of visiting it first before starting the hike. Unfortunately, access was prohibited as it was too dangerous. We thought we had missed the best part of the hike. We knew a lot about the beauty this walk had in store.

The hike takes you through the South Eifel Nature Park. The differences in altitude are not that difficult to bridge. At the 'Devil's Hole' a viewpoint that can be reached via a staircase and from where you continue to descend to a lower path, you have to be careful. In winter, the stairs can be treacherously slippery. The hike also leads past Weilerbach Castle. An old ironworks where a beautiful castle was later built. The castle cannot be visited, but you can walk around freely in the higher garden. Throughout the hike, you will regularly get narrow rock paths under your feet. At the Devil's Hole, you have to go through a narrow crevice to continue the hike. In short, because of the many beautiful things, a nice day tripper. It took about 6 hours.
