Description by the author

Hike through the vast forests of the Franconian Odenwald. Mostly wide forest roads and some narrow forest paths. The hike takes you past the only surviving buildings in the village of Breitenbach and past Waldleiningen Castle, which is now a psychiatric nursing home, and past the "wood shop" where you can buy beautiful wooden creations. Park and leave the hikers' car park, which you can reach when you drive a few hundred metres from the route between Emsttal and Ottorfzell (very well-trodden road). A total of about 1.5 km of asphalt.
