In the heart of the nature park and UNESCO Global Geopark Vulkaneifel - close to the famous maars - the delightful cycling tour starts in Daun. The Maare-Mosel cycle path runs between Daun and Bernkastel-Kues on an old railway line to the vineyard landscape of the Mosel. The fully paved cycle path has nearly no inclines, but offers plenty of rest stops and sights: two viaducts, numerous bridges, four tunnels, as well as Eifel maars and extinct volcanoes.
