Route from the Berghaupten to the summit of the Hornisgrinde and back to the Berghaupten. You cycle up the Hornisgrinde along the west side. This climb is said to be the toughest in the Black Forest. It is the only climb in the Black Forest with more than 1000 meters of altitude difference (1031m).

The start of the ascent is in Achern at an altitude of 145m. The ascent is almost 18 km long to the summit of 1155 m. The average gradient is 5.8%, the steepest kilometers 11.8%.

You cycle mainly on car-free paved roads or cycle paths. In total, the tour is 105km long.
