AzureBased on Route 39 from Hikeline hiking guide. The route has been modified to avoid a number of sections on larger roads. Even after the adjustments, however, the way back to Meerfelder is still not ideal and there are still some (traffic) disruptive spots. But all in all, this route is so beautiful that you like to take it.
From Manderscheid through the valley of the Kleine Kyl to the Wolfschlucht. From there, a long climb to Mosenberg, where you will be rewarded with beautiful panoramas. Descent along the crater lakes Windsborn and Meerfeld. Back to Manderscheid through the small Kyldal.
Along the way in Meerfeld there are several hotels / restaurants.
