Kroppach-Taunus-Mountain

From Kroppach to the Taunus. Through the Kroppacher Switzerland, we pass through the nature reserve Wälder auf dem Leuscheid into the beautiful Gelbachtal. After that, we reach the Taunus. The highest mountain of the Taunus is the Großer Feldberg, which stands at 881.5 meters. Other high peaks include the Kleine Feldberg (825 m) and the 798 meter high Altkönig. From the Großer Feldberg, we drive to the ruins of Königstein Castle and then along the Altkönig towards Bad Marienberg, where the Fuchskauten, the highest mountain in the Westerwald at 656 meters, is located near the mountains. On the way, we also pass a beautiful watchtower near Bad Marienberg. Just a short distance more and we are back in Kroppach.

Attractions include the ruins of Königstein Castle in Königstein im Taunus, the nature reserve Altkönig, and of course the Großer Feldberg in the Taunus. The route runs along this stretch.
