Bielefeld is a West German city and lies approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Hanover. The city is located near a major motorway, but is not visible when driving on that road. Because of that fact, a running joke has arisen in Germany where the existence of the city is denied because it cannot be seen from the largest traffic axis that leads to the city. Despite that fact, Bielefeld still has a lot to offer on a cultural level and now let that be what this walk will prove. The tour takes you past sights such as the Alter Markt, the Sparrenburg and the Klosterplatz. Beyond that, there is still plenty to see to last a full day.
