Description by the author

Chemnitz is an East German city about 78 kilometers west of Dresden. The city suffered a lot from the bombing of the 2nd World War, as a result of which a large part of its historic center was lost. However, due to reconstruction plans, some parts have been preserved and a nice mix has been created between old and new buildings. The walk takes you along all the beauty that Chemnitz has to offer including the Schlossteich, the Karl Marx Monument and the Altes Rathaus. In short: an enchanting walk that will undoubtedly leave a deep impression.
