Description by the author

This 75 km long racing bike route takes you along the largest and one of the most beautiful islands in Germany. The route starts in Bergen auf Rügen and runs through the villages of Binz, Sassnitz, Sagard and Lietzow, among others. An important attraction on the way is Prora. It is a controversial 1930s construction project led by Hitler. What was supposed to become a gigantic bathing hotel is today an impressive 4.5 km long ruin.
