Elfenlay Dream Arch and Hubertuskloof Viaduct

Where is the largest Rhine line in the world, where is the steepest railway line in Germany?
The answers can be found in Boppard, the pearl on the Rhine. You will find beautiful views of the "Boppard Hamm", the largest vineyard on the Middle Rhine with 75 hectares.
The river changes direction here in a double S-curve with two 180 degrees. The most beautiful views are from the Elfenlay and the Sabelsköpfchen. The Hunsrück line, opened in 1908, is a listed building and overcomes a difference in altitude of 336 m over 6 km to Buchholz. The view of the 50 m high viaduct over the Hubertuskloof at the Liesenfelder Hütte is unique. The road was rated by the German Hiking Institute with 81 experience points.

The hike has its own charm. The rustic route with its narrow path makes the Elfenlay dream circuit unique. In addition, there is a view of the Rhine loop and the view of the Hubertus Viaduct. I ran two dream loops at Boppard within a week and both hikes are very different. I liked the walk. The hike is highly recommended in summer and autumn when the leaves change color. If you were to ask me which dream run I would prefer in Boppard, I would recommend the "Rheingold Dream Run".
One more thing, unfortunately I didn't meet any elves in the forest during the walk, but maybe you'll be lucky enough to meet them in the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley
