History stations Dorsten Wulfen, Barkenberg, Lembeck, Rhade and Deuten

You start the bike tour at Wulfen train station. If you follow the small ring sequences, you will find the
Geschichtsstation 27 Wulfen.

Follow the Kleiner Ring until you turn left into Askanierweg and drive to the main road (Dülmener Straße). There, in front of the former St. Matthew's School (now a private Montessori school), the
History Station 20 Glory Lembeck.

Cross the busy road, drive along Dülmener Straße in the direction of Wulfen and turn left into the Burgring, drive straight ahead to the church. At the side entrance you will find the
History Station 45 St. Matthew

Straight across the castle courtyard you reach the Kippheide, which leads you to the Heidbruch. Then you will get to the Wulfener Markt. On the market square, in front of the community center, there is the
Geschichtsstation 31 Barkenberg.

Via Wulfener Markt you reach the Napoleonsweg, which you follow to the left along the Barkenbergsee and the Protestant church to the Südheide. Follow this road to the left to the Talaue and over the Alte Landstraße, where you cross the Maiberger Allee in the direction of Lembeck and via the Wiesenstraße to the Lippramsdorfer Straße. Turn left via Bahnhofstraße into the district of Lembeck. In front of St. Lawrence's Church is the
History station 30 in the centre of Lembeck.

On the left via Wulfener Straße you will reach the street Am Hagen (right) and then after a few meters turn left into Schlaunweg. Straight on onto Lorenzweg, turn left onto Johannesallee until you reach the
Reach the moated castle of Lembeck .

Continue on the right on Johannes Allee and return to Am Hagen, where you turn left. This will take you straight ahead onto the Rütherweg, which you leave on the right when the Bakeler Weg begins. After crossing the Essen Borken railway line, you cross the Deutener Weg, where you turn right. At the next junction on the right, drive under the A31 motorway to the "Im Brok" path. Here you turn left and drive a few kilometers until you reach the junction with Ringstraße. Turn left via the Ringstraße and then turn right via Debbingstraße you will reach the St. Urbanuskirche. Here, next to the historic fountain you will find the
Geschichtsstation 28 Rhade.

Behind the St. Urbanuskirche, the path leads to the left on the Schützenstraße to the south until the path Zum Vorwerk continues to the right through the Rhader meadows, over the Rhader Bach and the Schafsbach past the Vorwerk straight ahead over the A 31 motorway and further through the forest of the Emmelkämper Mark past the Witte mountains and the Deutener moors to the trout farm Tüshaus-Mühle. In front of the old watermill stands the one that was first erected on 4.12.2001 and later renewed at the mill festival
History station 3 Tüshaus-Mühle.

Back into the forest, the circular trail leads after a short distance along the edge of the forest to the right over the Soerheide. After a good kilometre, the path, also called Soerheide, leads again over the Rhader Mühlenbach to the Deutener Weg. We turn left to Brosthausener Weg, cross the Essen - Borken railway line and pass the Lasthausener Moor in the forest and meet Wulfener Str. north of the Wienbäcker Mühle. Here you have to follow the country road to Lembeck for a good 100m and then turn right onto Präsenkamp. Also turn right on Kottendorfer Feld to Weseler Straße and then along the railway line to Wulfen station.
