Badische Wine Route

There are many ways to explore "Germany's most beautiful gourmet corner" – but few more enjoyable than by car, motorhome, bike, or on foot along the Baden Wine Route. Since 1954, one of the most beautiful holiday roads in Germany has meandered like a red
thread through the Baden wine regions along the Black Forest – through Ortenau, Breisgau, Kaiserstuhl, Tuniberg, and Markgräflerland. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary, the Baden Wine Route has also included the Baden wine regions Kraichgau and Badische Bergstraße since 2014, thus offering pure wine experiences over a total length of more than 500 kilometers. Numerous paths also lead from the Baden Wine Route deeper into the wine country of Baden: all the way down to the Lake Constance and up to Tauberfranken, where the “Taubertal Wine Route” shows the way to wine.

Wine explorers can look forward to impressive views over vineyards and
sun-drenched valleys. Numerous castles and palaces along the route invite you to linger, and picturesque winery villages with winding streets, stately farms, and modern wine architecture are always worth a stop. Charming towns shape the cultural landscape in the wine country of Baden with museums, churches, and promenades. Hospitable vintners invite you throughout the year to cozy wine festivals, wine tastings, or vacations on the vineyard estate. Along the
wine route on "Baden's gourmet street", many excellent inns and restaurants with culinary delights and regional specialties are recommended.
