The hydropower lake actually resembles a natural lake, but it was artificially created by damming the Storå River. The hydropower lake was established from 1940 to 1942 as a work project with the dam over Storå. Under the water's surface, the meandering course of Storå still lies and constitutes part of the lake's bottom, resulting in varying water depths and current conditions.
Access: The tour naturally starts at the Hydropower Plant, Søvej 2a, 7500 Holstebro, by Ringvejen, but there is also the possibility of access to the path via several public roads. The path is marked where it turns.
Note that the path in some stretches coincides with both bicycle and riding paths.
