The municipality of Trabazos is located in the west of the Zamora Province, on the border with Portugal, 75 km from the provincial capital. The municipality is made of the five villages of Latedo, Nuez de Aliste, San Martín del Pedroso, Trabazos and Villarino Tras la Sierra.
The flag and arms of Trabazos, designed by Vicente Tocino Letrado and Tomás Rodríguez Peñas, are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 30 March 2007 by the Municipal Council, signed on 25 July 2007 by the Mayor, and published on 2 August 2007 in the official gazette of Castile and León, No. 150, p. 16,077.
