You can see from this landscape how extremely popular the trade in gold and silver was with the Romans. Running water was used here to open up the mountains and ores. The gold and silver was traded all over the allotted world. Traces of the activity of this silver mining can still be found today in cores of the Arctic ice. And that via traces of lead that went up into the air due to silver mining.
