A call, from the Hebrew kahal , is the name for a Jewish quarter in the Catalan Countries. The Jewish quarter of Girona can be counted among the most important quarters not only of the Catalan Countries, but also of the Iberian Peninsula and reached about 800 inhabitants. Among the most illustrious inhabitants are thinkers, poets and philosophers with Mosse ben Nahman , also known as Bonastruc ça Porta , doctor and philosopher, as the most emblematic figure of the medieval quarter.
