The last project that the renowned modernist architect Azemar completed in Agullana, La Concordia, dated 1912 and inaugurated in 1913, is the application of schemes that Azemar likely used with different dimensions in nearby towns such as Maçanet de Cabrenys or Darnius, and serves as an excellent example of architecture intended for recreational purposes.
The Agullana works of Josep Azemar entirely avoid curves and already hint at some features of "Noucentisme." The perfect combination of materials such as granite in the bases, exposed brick in the separation bands of the different spaces of the facades, the moderate use of ceramics, and wrought iron in the finishes of the openings and fences are the external traits that define his work.
