The Mombeltrán castle or castle of the Dukes of Alburquerque is a monument in Mombeltrán. It was erected by Beltrán de la Cueva, the first Duke of Alburquerque, on the last terracing of the mountain range, in a strategic position that dominates the entire ravine. Based on details of the coats of arms it bears, Cooper dates the development of the works between 1462 and 1474, attributing it to the architect Juan Guas due to similarities with the castles of Belmonte and Manzanares el Real.
