Ducal Palace of Lerma

In the highest part of the villa of Lerma is situated the Palace Ducal, that was built taking advantage of the emplazamiento of a castle of the 10th century and executed as you trace them of the architect Francisco of Muslim, in successive phases between the years 1601 and 1617. The Palace commissions by órden of the first Duke of Lerma, Francisco Gómez of Sandoval and Rojas, for aposento, rest and divertimento in general of his gentleman, Rey Felipe III.

This hotel has a central playground surrounded of galleries columnadas alternating two bodies: the first, of twenty columns of order toscano with arches of half point, and the second, of twenty columns of order jónico.

The Palace has converted now, after his restoration in a Parador with 70 rooms with a capacity of 133 squares.
