The Cau Ferrat Museum is a small art gallery located in the house-studio of Santiago Rusiñol (Barcelona 1861 - Aranjuez 1931), where works by this artist are exhibited.
The Cau Ferrat was visited by the most important painters, musicians, poets, and writers of the late 19th century, and from here they opened Catalonia to the most innovative European currents of the time.
Today, various collections related to the artist and modernism are exhibited: works by Ramón Casas, Miquel Utrillo, Ignacio Zuloaga, and younger artists like Hermen Anglada Camarasa or Pablo Ruiz Picasso. There are also two paintings by El Greco.
The Cau Ferrat Museum also houses one of the world's most important collections of forged iron, as well as a glass collection, featuring samples of crystals from classical antiquity, medieval times, and the 16th-18th centuries. The collection of popular ceramics is also noteworthy.
