The church of Santa María de Barberá is located in the town of Barberá del Vallés in the Catalan region of Vallés Occidental.
Consecrated by the bishop of Barcelona, San Olegario according to a mistaken tradition,[1] it is believed to have been built over another existing church in the 11th century.
