The Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) is a museum for modern and contemporary art in Barcelona, Spain. The museum, designed by the American architect Richard Meier, opened on November 28, 1995. The white building measures 120 by 35 meters, and the facade on the south side is mostly made of glass, allowing plenty of natural light in and providing visitors with a good view of the Plaça dels Àngels, on which the museum is located. The museum also features a gift shop and an auditorium.
