Description

Lagos de Covadonga is a collection of 3 lakes in the Picos de Europa range: Lago de Enol, Lago de Ercina and Bricial. The Lakes of Covadonga are located at an altitude of 1134 m. The lakes were created by glaciers. They are the original center of the Picos de Europa National Park, created in 1918. Lagos de Covadonga is the most important climb in the modern history of the Vuelta. The climb towards these lakes are part of the Vuelta since 1983.
