Yugueros is a municipality located in the province of León, Castile and León, Spain. It belongs to the City Council of La Ercina.
It has an area of 15 square km and an elevation above sea level of 1100m. Since the closure of the coal mines in the Sabero basin, their population has fallen to less than 100 people, specifically to 72 inhabitants (INE 2009). The town is made up of two neighbourhoods: that of the Bishop or of Abajo because it was formerly the property of the Diocese of León and that of the Marqués or de Arriba, formerly of the Marqués de Astorga. Coinciding with the reign of Philip II and by a Bull of Pope Gregory XIII, the Bishop's Quarter became a royal quarter in the jurisdiction of the Council of Modino along with the towns of Cistierna, Quintana de la Peña, Alejico, Sahelices, Olleros and Sotillos.
