The hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Congost is an old Romanesque church located in the Aragonese part of the Monrrebei gorge, in the municipality of Viacamp and Litera, in the region of Ribagorza.
The temple was built on the very edge of the precipice, on the course of the Noguera Ribagorzana River, which at that time lacked a reservoir. To the west of the hermitage, an elongated rocky visor protects what at the time must have been a stable medieval population. The church was built simultaneously with the military tower, around the year 1070, and from that same time date the rows of ashlars that remain as a plinth of the head of the apse and some other points of the side walls.
