The former El Águila Warehouses, on Colom Street in Palma, on the island of Mallorca, is a building constructed in 1908 under the design of Gaspar Bennàssar. The structure consists of four floors. The façade features balconies with wavy iron railings that provide great dynamism, polychrome ceramics, and a profuse floral and vegetal decoration following the modernist technique of Art Nouveau. A decorative semicircular arch stands out in the ensemble. The El Águila building aims to maximize space utilization and provide good natural lighting inside. The adopted solution consists of using new construction elements, in this case, iron, which is also displayed as decorative resources. The iron columns serve as heavy cladding and allowed for the installation of large windows to achieve significant illumination.
