The Pineta Valley is located in Sobrarbe, to the west of Mount Perdut, and stretches 12 km from the Pineta Circus at the foot of Mount Perdut to the village of Bielsa. The head of the valley is part of the Ordesa and Mount Perdut National Park.
In the Pineta Valley, where along 14 km of road one passes through a landscape full of beauty, where dense forests of pines, firs, and beeches cover the mountain slopes speckled with alpine pastures, we reach a meadow dominated by the hermitage of Our Lady of Pineta. In spring, a blanket of flowers covers the banks of the river, adorning this spectacular Pyrenean landscape, which is a natural gateway to the Ordesa and Mount Perdut National Park. The massif of Mount Perdut houses important glaciers, just like the massif of Munia, with the Robiñera glacier, included in the list of Natural Monuments of the Pyrenean Glaciers.
