The castle of Segart in the province of Valencia is a fortress of Muslim origin built around the 13th century, located on top of a hill overlooking the town that bears its name. Remains of the walls and part of the cubic structure of a cistern can still be seen.
Despite its small size, it must have been especially beautiful, both for its design and for its location. The entrance to the castle ruins is from the north. There, two "towers" protect the ancient entrance to the fortified enclosure. These structures are not proper towers but extensions outward from the wall. There is a tower facing east, but due to its construction style and the materials used, it is very likely that it is from the 14th century.
