The Royal Monastery of the Assumption or of Santa Clara, in the municipality of Játiva, is a conventual building in Gothic and Baroque styles built in the 14th century and with later renovations and expansions from the 16th to the 18th centuries, which was founded outside the walls in the year 1325.
The works of this monastery and those of the Franciscan convent were contemporary to the same order, both male and female, and their designs or execution were very likely due to the same master builder, following very similar distribution and ornamentation patterns.
