The Ciutadella promenade is an urban avenue in the center of the city of Valencia, located on the right bank of the former bed of the Turia River between the Real Bridge and the Bridge of Flowers. It begins right at the end of Painter López Street and ends at America Square. It is called the Ciutadella promenade because at its intersection with Justice Street was located the citadel of Valencia, a military fortification intended to protect the city from possible invasions built in 1574.
