The Museum of Fine Arts of Badajoz, also known as the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts of Badajoz, was founded in 1919 by the Provincial Council of Badajoz and is based in the Spanish city of Badajoz. The funds are made up of about 1400 pieces of painting and sculpture, engraving and drawing representing more than 350 artists such as Zurbarán, contemporary of Velázquez, Luis de Morales, Flemish painters, Francisco de Goya, Felipe Checa, Pedro Torre-Isunza, Eugenio Hermoso, Adelardo Covarsí, Antonio Juez Nieto, Nicolás Megía, Francisco Pedraja Muñoz, Picasso and Dalí, among others. The collection is completed by some pieces of furniture art. All this accredits it as the first Extremaduran art gallery and the fifth best collection in Spain.
