The beach of Coedo is located in the Asturian council of Navia and belongs to the Spanish locality of Las Cortinas. Despite not being framed in the area known as the Protected Landscape of the Western Coast of Asturias, it is cataloged as a Special Bird Protection Area (ZEPA) and a Site of Community Importance (LIC). The beach has the shape of a cove, or small bay, with a length of about 50 m and an average width of about 30-35 m. Its surroundings are rural, with a medium degree of urbanization and low risk. The pedestrian access is about five hundred m long. The bed is composed of coarse, dark sands. There are also large slabs of slate. It is a beach where the "ocle" washes ashore with some frequency, pulled and pushed by the tides.
