The ironworks of Cades is an ironworks located in the Spanish locality of Cades, belonging to the Cantabrian municipality of Herrerías. It holds the status of Local Interest Asset.
The ironworks are buildings dedicated to the production of iron.[1] The one in Cades is situated on the left bank of the Nansa River, is part of a group of properties built in the mid-18th century, and is a pre-industrial facility that was dedicated to iron production using the direct method.[1] The Cades ironworks is one of the best-preserved in Cantabria.[1]
