The Alhabar Castle is situated perched on a rocky cliff of the same name located in the village of Cambil, facing the Castle and to the east of the river that gives the town its name. It was probably built in the 13th century.
It occupies the entire upper plateau of the cliff, which has a steep slope, and natural walls that enclose the larger sides of the rectangle. Because of this, the remains of structures, which are very deteriorated, are limited to the East and West facades.
The building's layout is rectangular, marked by the shape of the rock on which it sits; inside, it is noteworthy that there are two levels that were enhanced by human work: a central one that serves as a small fortress and another peripheral one.
The visible work inside the castle is rough, made of small masonry and abundant gypsum mortar.
