The Rubió wind farm is made up of 50 wind turbines. Initially, about 33 wind turbines were installed, making it the most important wind project at the time in Catalonia. These wind turbines were capable of producing energy for 30,000 households. The installation of the wind farm took place in autumn 2004, although it became operational in spring 2005. The wind farm is located in the municipalities of Rubió, Castellfullit del Boix, and Òdena. At the end of 2007, the installation of 17 more wind turbines was carried out, reaching a total of 50 wind turbines, giving the park an installed capacity of 75 MW, which allows it to supply electricity to about 50,000 families.
