The Mausoleum of Jaume I is a modernist work in Tarragona protected as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest.
At the beginning of the 20th century, a mausoleum was erected to house the remains of the king that were located in the Cathedral of Tarragona. It is one of the most unique sculptures of Catalan modernism. Since 1992, it has been located in one of the courtyards of the current City Hall of Tarragona. The mausoleum was created by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, but it was completed by his son Pere, after his father's death in 1923.
