The Zamora Railway Bridge is one of the five that cross the Duero River on its way through the capital of the homonymous province. Built in 1933 by the shipyard Astilleros de Sestao, it served the Plasencia-Astorga railway line for many years, which is currently out of service.[1] The bridge connects the city center with the Pinilla neighborhood located on the left bank of the river, right where the Pinilla watermills are located. It was permanently closed in 1986, with its structure remaining over the river.
