The Lac de Mar is a glacial lake located in the Restanca Cirque, along a hanging valley over the Restanca lake. It is an elongated lake oriented from southwest to northeast. Its altitude is 2,248 meters and its surface area is 37.66 hectares. The lake has a small island in its center called Unhòla. The lake is within the peripheral zone of the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park and belongs to the municipality of Naut Aran in the Aran valley. To the north of the lake rises the massif of Tossau de Mar with its altitude of 2,739 meters.
