The refuge Ernest Mallafré is a mountain refuge in the Pyrenees, which is located in the province of Lleida, in the region of Alto Arán, at 1885 m altitude, very close to Lake San Mauricio.
The refuge is located on the Carros de Foc route, a 55 km journey that runs through all the refuges that are within the National Park of Aiguas Tortas and Lake San Mauricio, very close to the mouth of the Monestero River, in the Escrit River, at the foot of the emblematic mountains of Los Encantas.
