The Monastery of San Felices de Calatrava de Burgos is a monastery of Cistercian nuns from Calatrava, located in the neighborhood of San Cristóbal in the capital of Burgos.
In times of the IX Master Gonzalo Yáñez de Novoa, who governed the Order from 1218 to 1239, the foundation was carried out in 1219 of this the first monastery of Calatravas nuns. [1] Doña Leonor Rodríguez, daughter of Rodrigo Fernández de Castro and Doña Leonor González, donated to the monastery of San Felices de Amaya and its abbess Doña Sancha González the villas of Mucientes and Santa Olalla. [2] In the convent was buried in 1275 Leonor Rodríguez de Castro. [3]
