The Black Lake or Black Reservoir is a lake located at the head of the Peguera valley within the municipality of Espot in the Aiguas Tortas and San Mauricio Lake National Park. The lake, of glacial origin, is situated at an altitude of 2337 meters. It is dammed, with a total reservoir capacity of 11.90 cubic hectometers and a useful capacity of 6.60 cubic hectometers. With a depth of 70 meters, it is the deepest in the park, and its surface area covers 31.40 hectares.[1]
